This is what I love from my job, as a planner, I always assigned to visit a new place to know the various characteristics of the people who live in the neighborhood and then link it with various problems that exist in their environment. I like to interact with them. It's fun, you'll feel like you're in a different family even if it's a stranger. Perhaps I would say that this is the only job in the world that combines the very unique things about science, social, and mindset about the many problems that are common in urban areas
The lack of green
open space makes children use the public cemetery as a playground. It sounds
creepy, but it's true. This photo was taken at the largest grave located in
Palmerah sub-district, west jakarta. They make it a place to play because they
couldn't find more open space in their neighborhood. The only open space they have
is this public cemetery. All the space in this neighborhood has turned into
irregular and shabby housing. What an irony.
This picture was taken when I surveyed the slums in East Jakarta to finish my college assignments. This child describes how it feels to live in poverty while Jakarta is grows bigger and bigger. But they seems like doesn't care about it, what most important thing for them now is how they can keep smiling and laughing with what they have now. what a wonderful life lesson from 5 year old kids
